"My understanding says A goes with Z, but they happen at separate time and places. I find negatives that feel like A and Z and print them into the photographs together—I subsist on analogy... I need to be quick at moving within the optical, chemical, mechanical, seen, known and factual relationships that form the process and part of the potential. Shifting any of these elements, I change the look of the image.
